Curriculum

“The most important period of life is not the age of university studies, but the first one, the period from birth to the age of six. For that is the time when man’s intelligence itself, his greatest implement, is being formed” – Maria Montessori

Practical Life

Practical Life activities help children develop everyday living skills, including caring for others and the environment. They also strengthen hand-eye coordination, improve focus and attention, and refine motor skills for greater muscular control.

Sensorial

Sensorial materials help children organize and understand the world around them by refining the senses of sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell. Many of these materials are designed in sets of ten, introducing the decimal system in a concrete way. Most sensorial activities also progress from left to right and top to bottom, helping children develop directionality skills that support reading and writing.

Mathematics

Mathematics materials help children move from concrete experiences to abstract understanding with increasing complexity. Because the materials are hands-on and tactile, children actively engage in learning, build strong math foundations, and progress toward abstract concepts at their own pace.

Language

Language learning is highly hands-on and teaches children to read and write through active exploration. Activities include tracing sandpaper letters, matching objects and pictures to sounds, sequencing, and using the moveable alphabet. Together, these experiences build a strong foundation for lifelong reading and writing skills.

Geography & Cultural Studies

Geography and cultural studies are woven into the daily curriculum. Children learn to respect and appreciate people and cultures around the world, and through lessons and experiences in nature, they develop a sense of connection to the global community.

Art & Music

Art and music give children opportunities for creative expression while introducing them to the work of the great Masters.

Science

Science helps children explore the living world around them through hands-on activities that introduce the characteristics and classification of living things.
